Details

First composed 1967.

This work exists in three versions and two revisions, the final version dating from 2003. It is the first ever complete setting of the Missa Pro Defunctis.


Performances

The first and only performance of the first revised version took place in Cheltenham in 1982, conducted by the late Roger Smith. Soprano Soloists April Cantelo & Anne Mackay.

The first performance of the 1967 version took place in Cirencester Parish Church conducted by the late Eric Sanders. Soprano Soloist Felicity Lott.

Stroud Choral Society, with choirs of Cirencester and Westwood Schools. Mr. E. Sanders, Elis Pehkonen, and Miss D. Chapman, Conductors.
